Cilest and oral contraception

After the initial set of contraception failed to encourage people to indulge in safe sex practices, the medicine industry decided to focus on the shortcomings of all the available forms of contraception. The ‘ease of use’ and ‘reliability’ was noted to be the main elements that the earlier contraceptives lacked. While reliability and ease of use contradicted each other, with the guarantee of reliability bringing down the ease of use element. This no-win situation led them to the most common and widely used forms of medication – oral tablets. This led to contraception in the oral form. Oral contraception helped to overcome the biggest excuse for the people refraining from contraception – ease of use. The oral contraceptive pill or birth control pill can be taken orally by the female partner, did not pose as a barrier in natural sex, exceptionally reliable and men did not have to wear barrier contraception anymore.

With an effective rate of more than 99%, Cilest has become one of the most widely used oral contraceptive pill by women globally. Cilest produces comparatively fewer side effects and is highly effective in protecting against unwanted pregnancy. Cilest is a combined oral contraceptive pill and contains two hormones which are synthetic versions of the natural hormones. They prevent ovulation, prevent sperm from meeting an egg and alter womb lining to prevent unwanted pregnancy. Women over 18 can safely use this pill by following the prescription cycle. Certain side effects such as nausea, vomiting, weight changes and headaches are common and temporary.
